Choosing a therapist is a deeply personal decision. At The EmpowHERment Collective, we believe the best therapy begins with finding the right fit.

Our team brings together clinicians with diverse specialties and therapeutic approaches so we can thoughtfully match each client with the provider who best meets their unique needs. While each therapist brings their own expertise and style, we all share a commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care that helps women, children, teens, couples, and families feel seen, supported, and empowered.

Our Team

Dana Lewisohn, LCSW, ADHD-CCSP

If you've spent so much time taking care of everyone else that you've forgotten how to take care of yourself, you're not alone. Whether you're navigating motherhood, anxiety, relationship challenges, divorce, life transitions, or the emotional ups and downs of perimenopause and beyond, therapy can provide the space to reconnect with yourself and move forward with confidence.

Dana Lewisohn, LCSW, ADHD-CCSP is the founder of The EmpowHERment Collective and has more than 17 years of experience helping women navigate life's most challenging and transformative seasons. She specializes in women's mental health, including perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, maternal mental wellness, midlife transitions, family conflict, stress and anxiety.

She is an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider and holds advanced certifications in Perinatal Mood Disorders and Mental Health through Postpartum Support International (PSI), as well as specialized training in Bowen Family Systems Theory and Adoption Counseling from Rutgers University.

As a mother of two, Dana understands that balancing the demands of family, work, relationships, and personal wellbeing can feel overwhelming. She combines clinical expertise with warmth, humor, and genuine compassion to create a therapeutic space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to prioritize their own mental health.

Dana founded The EmpowHERment Collective with a vision of creating the kind of practice she believed women deserved—one that recognizes the unique emotional, relational, and hormonal experiences women face throughout every stage of life. Her goal is to provide thoughtful, evidence-based care that helps women feel heard, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change.

Her sessions are warm and unhurried, creating a safe and supportive environment to share and process your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

Amanda's approach is inclusive and grief- and trauma-informed, weaving mindfulness techniques into traditional talk therapy. Drawing on training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Prolonged Grief Therapy (PGT), each session is tailored to the needs and goals you identify.

Amanda brings decades of experience building meaningful relationships into this second career, following twenty years in documentary filmmaking, nonprofits, and education. Her passion for compassionate mental health support is further shaped by early work in community health and veterinary medicine, and by lived experience as a cancer patient. She volunteers with Good Grief, a family bereavement center, and FORCE, a national nonprofit supporting hereditary cancer patients and their families.

Amanda is a great fit for you if you are...

  • Grieving the loss of a loved one, a relationship, your health, or the future you imagined.

  • Living with a chronic illness or navigating a new medical diagnosis and want support from someone who understands the emotional impact of health challenges.
