Founder of The EmpowHERment Collective
For over 16 years, Dana Lewisohn, LCSW, has worked with adults, children, families, and couples in a therapeutic setting. Throughout her career, her practice has evolved to meet the changing needs of the community. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she transitioned from an office-based practice to a fully virtual setting, recognizing the increasing demand for accessible mental health care. This shift deepened her commitment to providing specialized support for women’s mental health, leading her to found The EmpowHERment Collective—a dedicated space where women can prioritize their well-being with the guidance of a compassionate and knowledgeable team of providers who understand the complexities of women’s health and wellness.
Many women find themselves feeling anxious, depressed, or overwhelmed, even when they appear successful in other aspects of life. Challenges in family relationships, friendships, or major life transitions—such as parenthood, pregnancy, divorce, or grief—can create emotional distress that is difficult to navigate alone. At The EmpowHERment Collective, Dana and her team provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where women can explore their emotions, build resilience, and find meaningful support on their journey toward healing and growth. Her areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, divorce, family conflict, grief, parenting, peer relationships, pregnancy, prenatal and postpartum support, spirituality, stress, and women’s issues. Dana holds a Certificate in Perinatal Mood Disorders and Mental Health with advanced psychotherapy training from PSI International, a Bowen Theory Certificate from Rutgers University, and an Adoption Counseling Certificate from Rutgers University.
Through personalized therapy and specialized support, Dana is dedicated to helping women feel heard, understood, and empowered as they navigate life’s challenges.
